Speak up

Help fight crime by passing on what you know to the authorities without ever having to say who you are. Our promise of anonymity has never been broken.

Why tell Crimestoppers?

Would you say something about a crime if no-one knew the information came from you? If you have information about crime or criminal activity, pass it on to Crimestoppers anonymously and help create a safer New Zealand.

What information do we want?

You can pass on information to Crimestoppers about any crime or criminal activity that has already happened, even if it’s a while ago, or that is being planned.

What we mean by anonymous

Anonymous means no-one will ever know you contacted Crimestoppers to pass on information about crime.

How to give information

You can give information to Crimestoppers in two ways at any time of the day or night – either call us on 0800 555 111 or use our secure online form.

What we do with your information

After your call we create a report that brings together all the information you told us. Our call takers will check the report contains no information that might identify you.

Crimestoppers will occasionally post a reward for information that helps resolve a case or leads to an arrest. We pay rewards anonymously.
